Our Family Home and Legacy
Click here for current weather (note that at 10 pm on April 28th, as the last shreds of ice were being pushed by a strong NW wind, it ripped out the deeper water temperature and oxygen monitors – we will replace as soon as we can!)
Ice left smaller bays starting on April 24 with the last sheets of ice leaving the central lake on April 28, 2026. The Thaw Tracker forecast on January 1, 2026 was April 27 with average snow.
The 2026 solstice gathering will be on Saturday, June 20, 2026. We hope the weather will be excellent. Everyone is welcome. Info on the 2026 solstice gathering can be found here

The photo above shows the deep water monitoring gear stuck in the ice at the end of March.
Our Mission
Our mission is forest, wildlife & fish habitat preservation. We have a certified forest management plan in order to bring back the pines to the shores of Wabana and old-growth hardwoods in the uplands. We work actively on preserving and enhancing fish habitat and spawning areas along nearly a mile of shoreline. Our forest and water stewardship work together to help keep Wabana’s waters clear and healthy for all.
